Has anyone else applied for the Uniting for Ukraine program?

There will be 100k or next next year, the only difference I know of is that your MIL got 12 months rather than 2 years under U4U

 

Guesstimating processing times is difficult, the Venezuelan etc version kicked in and that is 30,000 per month but I assume many more than that applications. Busy times.

 

I assume you MIL is not looking to immigrate and/or your spouse is not a USC.

So there is a process but no mention how you go about it, just a suggestion that it will be communicated, well that is how I read it.

 

She also sets out the asylum process, but without commenting if Ukrainians will qualify, I can see how a few could, but not the majority. Unless they intend redefining how the words are interpreted.

What I found interesting was this is the first "official" that has made a statement that we should see a re-parole process at some point.

Thanks for posting that letter. So it appears apply for reparole through DHS, which would be USCIS? File form 131 and 134 and pay the man. Still no guarantee. 
 

It would be so simple to extend TPS to close the gap. Can’t do the simple way though it seems.

I  would not like to say how to do it, there may be a special procedure just like U4U.

 

Extending TPS by a few days may help a few but does not address the 100,000? who arrived after, or the 30,000 a month under the new Parole programme.

USCIS, yes. I don't see the process is in place yet. I still would not expect a fee for U4U.

 

But this I don't think would apply to the TPS. TPS would be a different process from my understanding.

I have found guidance where you just file a standard HP package (131 & 134) and mark your folder re-parole.

 

I haven’t been in this thread, and I guess I specifically posted here wondering about the U4U option. Has people been approved after coming here on U4U but leaving? (So they can come back)

But those people are all getting 2 years of parole right? For .gov that’s next years problem😂. And from what I see about TPS, extension wil happen for those on it. 
 

It’s just a gap of people admitted between 4/11 and 4/25 who are stuck.

Scroll down is a re-parole section. The problem is, normally this is for parole issued by USCIS. In this case of those stuck in this gap, CBP issued it. 
 

Maybe between the letter posted above and my call with CBP saying “all Ukrainians are referring to USCIS”, maybe provisions are being made for USCIS to handle reparole.

 

That letter makes is sound like “we are aware of the problem, working in solution, and will let you know”

I submitted my I-134a on Jan.19 2023 and I received a receipt notice but still no confirmation. I read some people had there forms only take a few days to approve. Does anyone know if they are taking longer to process the I-134a?

Hi guys. In October i took in to my house two refugees from Ukraine,.. and they are doing fine. I would like to sponsor two more people in the short future as my income situation is allowing me to do that. The story of those two people is . They live in Czech republic. The mother has a Ukrainian passport but the 10 year old child from a previous marriage has a Bulgarian passport. 

I wonder how would that impact the procedure? Or if it would effect it at all?

 

I would appreciate any thoughts from all of you.

My recollection is that it says children and spouses do not have to be Ukranian there was a bit about being resident but that was not defined
