If your beneficiaries are receiving SNAP (food stamps), TANF or the state Medicaid equivalent, go with the first option. It is about as close as you can get to assured approval. Option is tough because documenting their income will probably have challenges. We did option 3 from 2 of my beneficiaries with success. But you need to write a good justification.

For the Advanced parole make sure you review the very limited situations that humanitarian parolees are eligible. e.g. vacations and friendly family visits don't qualify.

They recently arrived here so it will be a few weeks until the get their benefits.

 

I was thinking of doing option 2 and adding a justification document saying that no income tax return is available yet, etc. Maybe I should do both 2 and 3?

I think adding option 3 would be a good idea. Just write a good short explanation of the current state of finances and lack of immediate income.

Updated COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements: The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has updated the COVID-19 vaccination requirements for beneficiaries paroled into the United States under Uniting for Ukraine. All beneficiaries aged 6 months and older must now have an attestation submitted attesting that they have received COVID-19 vaccinations both before traveling to the United States and after arrival in the United States, unless they are eligible for an exception. Previously, beneficiaries younger than 5 years old qualified for an exception to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement because the vaccine was not approved or licensed for use in that age group.

• Before Traveling to the United States: To receive travel authorization under Uniting for Ukraine, all beneficiaries aged 6 months and older must have an attestation submitted attesting that they received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine approved or authorized by the Food and Drug Administration or a COVID-19 vaccine listed for emergency use by the World Health Organization, unless they are eligible for an exception. 

• After Arrival in the United States: After being paroled into the United States, all beneficiaries aged 6 months and older must have an attestation submitted attesting that they completed or will complete their COVID-19 vaccination series (in other words, they will be fully vaccinated) within 90 days of arrival or within 90 days of reaching the eligible age for vaccination according to the current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines, unless they are eligible for an exception. Do you all think that the attestations have to be completed before applying for EAD?

Any advice on where to mail a I131/I765 package for U4U parolees? I'm reading that I765 should be mailed to where the other forms are going, if being mailed together. That means I should mail it to the I131 address. So far, I'm finding this address:

Hi Guys. My benefitiaries coming next week Tuessday. Everythihng in place eccept the 14 year old not vaccinated. There is no vaccine available eccept J&J. And doctors will not administer to anyone under 18. Not sure what is going to come of that, They are leaving Kiev onthe train 24th and flying out of Warsaw in the afternoon on 25th,

I hope everything will go smooth.

As long as the attested the 14 year old has not been vaccinated due it not being available for that age. They will have 90 days once they arrive to vaccinate.

Should be no worries. Last time I checked restrictions had been and still were lifted in Poland and Germany for COVID testing and vaccinations. Also the US has no restrictions on arrivals for COVID testing or vaccination.

I have an update. I sent in the package with the I-765 and I-131 together with an I-912.

 

The I-765 was accepted and biometrics was scheduled.

 

The I-131 were kicked back because of "lack of appropriate fees". My beneficiaries now were approved and are receiving SNAP and other benefits. Do you think it's worth it to try to mail the package in with updated supporting documents for the I-912?

 

I'm confused as to why the I-912 worked for the I-765 but NOT the I-131.
