Has anyone else applied for the Uniting for Ukraine program?

I hope to file by the end of this week. All this time was waiting on a passport for a 13 year old. I know we talked about vaccinations before but today i read on Instagramm from a Miami immigration attorney that the rules have changed for U4U folk. They would have to porve up to date Covid -19 vaccinations.

Did anyone hear about it at all today? Or it is a hoax?

Maybe someone asked already, but is there any reason to register the travel members as one group, rather then doing an account for each one of them separately? 

The latter option is better because it allows for each family member to travel separately (if needed) - but if they are all under one account, added as a travel group members, they have to travel together?

(all three are one family, my mom, dad, and brother, for that sake, all three are ukrainian citizens, and over 18)

You will need a account for each of them either way. Where they are all over 18 I don't see much advantage of linking them together.

Has anybody here experienced problems with long waiting times to get the Authorization to Travel document from? I filled out form I-134 a little over a month ago for my father, submitted the biometric info and vaccines, but I've been in limbo waiting for his travel authorization. It's weird because I filed for my younger brother first, and he got his travel authorization within the same week. Same thing with for my mom and my youngest brother. 

 

I called USCIS customer support and they advised me to send a physical letter to some office in Vermont to request more info about my dad's case. I'm not sure how useful that will be, maybe I put in the wrong info somewhere?

I recommend calling USCIS customer service and get to tier 2. My understand they can actually look into the case where tier 1 can't. Though this might be with CBP at this point.

I made a mistake in my original post. I'm not stuck at the travel authorization, I'm actually stuck at the part where the beneficiary receives an email from USCIS to set up an account. So I submitted I-134 for my dad and it's been approved, but there has been no email from USCIS inviting him to create an account (I have waited for a month). Would it be worth it to resubmit form I-134 again with me as the sponsor, or resubmit it using another person as the sponsor (example, my partner)?

I had this problem and resolved it by re-filing my I-134 (specifying in the application that I had filed a I-134 in the past). The second time the email was received by the beneficiary.

I-34 was approved, and travel authorization issued. I (sponsor) live in New York City, however my beneficiary wants to fly to Florida to stay with a very generous friend there, who has more space, since I already have another Ukrainian family staying with me. My question is - is it okay for her to travel directly from Europe to Florida even though her sponsor’s address is in New York? Is there going to be an issue at the airport?

I high doubt if there would be an issue. They should do a change address though as soon as reasonable. That is a stipulation of the program to update USCIS with there correct physical and mailing address.

Help!

 

I submitted (4) I-134s for my wife's daughter, husband and (2) grandchildren.

 

We received 4th Confirmation Notice today for the husband.  When trying to add him to the Travel Group my daughter-in-law noted that I made a mistake on his passport number.  the correct number started with FL and I entered FU.

 

My question is what do I do?  Do I need to cancel the first I-134 (which we waited 4 weeks for) and file another?  Is this a bid deal and can it be corrected at an interview, it is an honest mistake?

 

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

A couple of others have suggested the best way is to submit a new I-134 since the passport number is a field that you cannot change, The only other idea I have is to try to contact tier 2 customer service, they might help.

I know each person in a family must have their own USCIS Account.  My question is do you need to recreate the same Travel Group within each person's account?  I have a mother, father, a 5 year old and a 4 month old.  The mother has already added everybody to her Travel Group.  Does she need to create a Travel Group on the other 3 family members also?

I think that is a good question. I'm not sure. I did create the travel group both ways Child->Mother and Mother->Child.
