Thank you for answers to my previous questions.  I have found this post and replies to be very helpful and informative.

Do Ukrainian vaccine records need to be translated and notarized, or can one translate them themselves? Also, once sponsored family is in the US the requirement is to get a medical screening for tuberculosis, including an Interferon-Gamma Release Assays (IGRA) test, within 14 days of arrival.  Will the US accept TB test results from Ukraine or Poland, since it is probably cheaper to do that there?  If not, since sponsored people do not have insurance what has everyone found to be the most cost effective way of doing it in US?

The vaccination records are not require for Uniting for Ukraine. But they may need them for other needs once they are here. e.g. school enrollment for children in many states. I expect they would need to be an official translation.

Your medical screening questions are a good ones. I've been asking them myself.  Getting health insurance in place for this seems to me to be challenging in 14 days.

I went through my local health department. They wrote a prescription for the test to be done at a local hospital. Took me a lot of phone calls to get it all lined up. Should be getting the tests Tuesday. Results 3 to 4 days. Results might come in past the 14 days, but the screening will be done before it.

Beneficiary account does not even allow you to enter anything about TB testing yet.

For TB tests -- wish we knew if they could bring negative results from Ukraine.

My plan is to take the beneficiaries to a local health department clinic, where TB screenings are done for $20 (unless I find out whether they can be done for free). They are routinely done at this clinic for newly arrived immigrants, refugees, and international students.

I would contact your local health department and/or a local NGO that handles medical screenings for refugee arrivals/resettled refugees. If you identify yourself as the sponsor of an arriving Parolee, they should hopefully have some useful info.

Hello,I am about to apply for mother with 3 little children , they are my friends and a bit afraid. Can they get welfare medical incurance? My children are having welfare medical. Will i be able to get any help in case its needed?

What they are eligible for will depend on your state. It seems as though there are states where Parolees are eligible to apply for some benefits (food stamps, WIC, Medicaid/CHIP) or may be eligible for a Marketplace plan.

Perhaps check with your state agency or check with a local NGO/community organization that handles refugee resettlement (e.g., IRC, HIAS, Catholic Community Services -- if you have any of these where you live).

Hello,

I am sponsoring my mom and I am unable to send a form on her behalf because of the submission error. I have already tried all possible browsers. Did you encounter this error? What did you do to fix it? I would really appreciate any information. It'd been 3 days since I am trying to submit the application.

Greetings

Does anyone know cases when non-Ukrainian immediate relatives (e.g. spouses) of Ukrainian beneficiaries of U4U program got travel authorization from CBP? We've been waiting for a spouse to get the response while his entire family has already got approval 3 weeks ago.

Do you think it matters if I am trying to submit it from the US? Or should it be submitted from Ukraine?

This should be submitted from the US.

Has anyone who made a mistake on say a passport number, then submitted a new I134 for the same people, gotten any approvals.

I resubmitted on 5/24 and have heard nothing. Other people are reporting the submitted on 5/27 and got approval over the holiday weekend!!

I just called USCIS. They said that it could take about 20 days to hear a response back on your I-134.

Did some follow up research on this as well:  Healthcare.gov is definitely an option!  I called their support line can got instructions.

If you, like me and my wife, have private health insurance, no worries:  start signing up on Healthcare.gov but choose the option "coverage for someone else."  Your relatives will be listed as your dependents for both medical care and taxes.  If you choose that they have serious medical concerns (which two of mine do), they will be granted coverage during the special enrollment period.  The others can still enroll in Medicaid.

All the best.

Hello,

I found this company for non-US citizen Health Insurance. I know that J-1 visa programs use them.

Travel Insurance | Best Custom Insurance Plans | Seven Corners

I'm not sure if there is a big difference between two coverages or if COVID 19 is included in Inbound USA coverage. If anybody can look and explain. TY
