Sounds like extended Administrative Processing.....which cannot be waived or expedited.  Not much she can do except wait.

Do you know why she was refused? What extra documentation was she asked to submit, when did she submit it?.. was it the DS5535?

She didn’t have enough documents to prove her marriage, but she submitted everything for the second interview

Sounds like she just has to wait... if I was the USC spouse I would fly to Morocco before interview is scheduled and spend more time with your sister....

I agree with @Crazy Cat

It must be an extended Administrative Processing with no time frame.

You can ask her husband to ask their congressman to file an inquiry with the consulate, they might get an answer about the delay, but they can not expedite AP.

Good luck

She already had the interview in October 2021, and the status shows Refused (according to OP)

Refused OR denied?

there is a difference

2017 was a hard year in Morocco with RIF and protesting  / many immigrants went thru long refused visa until the extended security checks are done as

186 were arrested for terriorism in that year

this affected all interviews

i wish our one moroccan / american still posted on here as his wife was from Fes and she interviewed in december and finally got her visa next November after completing a new medical exam

refused means they need more documents or security checks

unfortunately u just need to wait this out

she will need a new medical exam when the embassy notifies u as her's is now past the 6 month mark

they kept her passport -good sign

be patient

sorry, but that is all that can be done

as her brother reassure her

allah yessir

I thought "refused" meant AP...

Maybe I am confused about the timeline

1.) First Petition and interview (2020)  VISA DENIED

2.) Second Petition and Interview  with help of lawyer (2021) VISA REFUSED

3.) Extra documents proving bonafide relationship submitted after October 2021... still waiting for ANOTHER (third) interview...

the CO has her visa

and they usually don't do  another interview

they just will need a new medical exam

i asked about refused back in 2020 as then they used AP

now they use the word refused for AP

Did they ask for extra documents after second interview? Did they give 221g or paper or  is she just in "refused" status?

I'm thinking you just have to wait... but was wondering if you had to provide something extra after second interview.

she may have gotten a 221g back then asking for additional documents

only DENIED  means no visa

she has supplied the additional documents now,   so be patient and supportive

the petitioner can send an email inquiry about the case

it doesn't hurt to ask but it is taking a long time to get a response

making a inquiry could possibly nudge the case
