varied. $200-$400. what i did, i called all the civic surgeon in my area and checked one by one. dont have much here in maine only 7 and 5 refused to take me a patient ( its a maine problem). when i called i asked

1. how many times i have to go there. it can be one time, it can be two times. in my case :2 visit. 1st visit : bloodwork, visit 2 : meet with the surgeon and can bring the result after the doctor appointment

2. how much? is it all included? for me i paid 2 x $175 out of pocket + $450 ( for chest xray after they found out im latent TB)

if you are lucky like some of the people, the doctor willing to put under insurance.the surgeon that i saw, did not. so i have to pay out of pocket

It varies wildly depending on where you are based from what I have seen. Personally paid $200, but even that was the lowest end of it in my area. Some were charging $300-350 when we inquired.

If you have insurance you can probably get a good chunk of any additional vaccinations and/or blood tests covered too. I personally reached out to my insurance before I even scheduled my medical as I wanted to be prepared for the potential extra costs (I didn't need any additional vaccinations & they covered the two blood tests entirely with a referral from the civil surgeon!).

If you know that you're missing vaccinations it's probably gonna be cheaper to get them at Walgreens or w/e instead of at the CS office (if they offer vax in the first place). I'd just get this done before you even go and do your medical honestly.

Thank you very much for your responses. Got an idea about the cost.
But still not sure which vaccines are required to take

It's based on age - this should give you some clarity on what's required: https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/civil-surgeons/vaccinations.html#anchor_1506449934815

Hi,
My interview will be scheduled soon as I got a email notification.
But I have not done my medical check up yet (for Form 693).
Can anybody please let me know how long it typically takes from scheduling appointment with the doctor, then vaccination ,and getting the results ?
I mean could you give me a time frame of this from your experience.

Thanks

Depends on the Doctor, you could get it done today if they have appointments available.

call every surgeon in ur area, ask 2 things :

1. how many times you have to go there? some only 1 time some can be 2 times.

2. when are you going to get the sealed envelope. some you can bring once you are done with the surgeon, some you have to wait 2 weeks

that's how i choose the physcian. NYC u can even walk in today. smaller city like mine, 1,5 months apppointment

From what I've seen and gone through you tend have two visits with most civil surgeons - one initial visit where they take your details, review vaxx records, a quick physical check and  questionnaire. But have them confirm how they normally do it (1 visit vs 2 visits) when you speak to them to schedule the appt.

Then you'd normally get a referral with whatever vaccinations and blood tests are needed and you come back for your second visit to review test results and sign/seal the docs. Blood test results can take a good week to come in depending on where you're based.

Your interview is normally scheduled 4-5 weeks out so you should have more than enough time to get this all done.

Personally, when my interview was scheduled I asked Emma to confirm date/time of interview and then scheduled my medical (first visit) that very day for the first available appointment they had (3 days after interview was scheduled). Didn't need any additional vaccinations so just had blood drawn at a lab my insurance works with the same day. Results came in a whole week later and technically I could've scheduled the second visit with the CS for the following day - that would've brought me up to like 10 days in total form finding out my interview date to picking up the sealed medical.
