Australian Police Certificate

Hello everyone,

I have just had my Australian police certificate rejected (for a second time). The first time I picked code 35 instead of Code 33, so that is on me. Now I have submitted a code 33 Police certificate (immigration/citizenship). I did not send fingerprints. Is that where I went wrong?

Hello, follow up question - if you got fingerprints done overseas, what form did you use? I cannot find a form to use, so the local police here in Switzerland suggested just to use the local Swiss form. My husband is suggesting I use the FBI form as it is for the usa...

Thanks a lot, Mochi. Mine looks exactly the same. I have spoken to NVC 3 times now and no person could tell me what is wrong. They have put it forward for a review, which can take up to 6 weeks...fingers crossed it won't take that long!

Hi, would you be willing to share how the review went for you? I am expecting NOA2 soon and I've been reading everyone's horror stories with the police check.

Hi Chanel, unfortunately they never responded to my review. I called back after 6 weeks and that was actually when they had closed their phone line due to high volume of work. I wrote in an email and never got a response. In the end we put in for an expedite request which was accepted. My case is now with the embassy in Bern and I will bring in my certificates to the interview. I requested two new certificates - one the same as above but with the German spelling of my name (with an umlaut), and I did another one with fingerprints. 

If I figure out what went wrong, I will let you know!

@haiku just wondering how you managed to get your case expedited?
