If you have a good packet prepped, it’s best to send in the medical I-693 at submission . You may even get lucky and be screened for interview waiver. ..effective 03/2022.
Hope you were able to get a job letter from wife’s new employer and include a good deal of joint life evidence ( lease, rent payments, utilities, bank and credit accounts, cell phone, car registration and insurance…some affidavits from family/ friends and happy photos..etc)
Good Luck

Hello everyone,

I need a joint sponsor since by wife hasn't started working. I have a relative willing to cosponsor. I was thinking of getting the service of a lawyer to review the Affidavit of support application.

Here are some questions I have

  • Do I need to fill two I-864 applications, even if my wife isn't working? The last time she had a job was last year November, do I need to include tax returns and last paystub?
  • On the form there is a spot that asks whether they are the first or second of two joint sponsors, is my relative the second sponsor?
  • My relative has filled the I-864 for 2 other persons that currently have green cards, would they need to be included?
  • My relative is currently the sponsors for their parents GC application? Do they need to be included in the Household size?

I really appreciate your time for answering my questions.

Your wife fills out one i864. Include tax returns.

Your joint sponsor fill out another i864.

Your wife is the sponsor.

Your relative is the only (1st) joint sponsor.
