USAxEgypt - What to Expect?

Hello everyone,

I've been researching information about possibly marrying my love to help him over to the US faster.

1. We are nevermets, however, we have known each other for many years, even worked together for a period of time.

2. I've looked at the process of flying to Egypt and marrying him, however... I feel like the process is rather vague? I tried reaching out to the consulate for some answers but I didn't get any good responses back.

3. I found a lady from Egypt who married a man from the US. Their process took them 2 whole days to complete and she was telling me she was given a processing time of 8-12 months for her Spouse Visa.

So with that said, my biggest concerns are if they would look at me and consider it a red flag that I haven't visited him before.

He's legally listed as a Muslim man and I am a Christian woman (however we're both the worst at our faiths). I had read that you need proof that you're Christian? The first step of the process is most concerning for me, like what exactly do I need for this biometric data? Does it need to be converted to Arabic before I go see him?

The horror stories about the Cairo Consulate scares me too....

Lastly... I saw a post on here back in October for a WebWed Online Marriage... is this really recognized in Egypt? I mean, suppose I were to fly to Egypt, use WebWed... and then the marriage would be consummated completely forgoing all of the headaches involved?

You need to meet first. More time spend time together before marriage the better. Don’t know about eigypt rule, in indonesia ( the biggest population for moslem) if you married a Muslim guy, you need to convert your religion to Muslim and got married by religion + court. The only online marriage that I know so far is utah online marriage but u need to meet in person ( consumate ) before you can file documentation to USCIS
