Hi all,

On page 17 of the I-864 instructions, 4th bullet, it says:

Quote

Proof of their residency in your household and relationship to you if they are not the intending immigrants or are not listed as dependents on your Federal income tax return for the most recent tax year.

It is unclear to me who is meant by "they" and "their". Might that be referring to this snippet from the previous bullet on the same page: "income of persons in your household or dependents to qualify"?

I am sponsoring my parents as their sole sponsor only using my own income. And I live with my wife and 2 children. Do I need to prove my wife and children's relationship to me, and prove that they live with me?

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Here is the entire previous bullet on the same page:

If you are using the income of persons in your household or dependents to qualify, a separate Form I-864A for each person whose income you will use. However, an intending immigrant whose income is being used needs to complete Form I-864A only if his or her spouse and/or children are immigrating with him or her.
