Is there anything unusual about your case?  Divorce?

sounds like they found something that was not originally considered in the decision, and need to look further at it.

Yes, was previously divorced, which made my interview a lil tensed,

So was shock on reopening again.

And I gave him all the proofs, even told him the kids live with me now

But why approved in the first place,

Thought they did all the checks already

Like I said, some additional information must have come up that was not considered initially.

They have KNOWN about your previous divorce from the time your current wife filed your I-130 all the way to the I-485 interview (approximately) three years ago…so that bit should not be a surprise or flag for anything. You can try and remember what questions about previous divorce they kept asking and what questions the Officer actually asked you.

I believe in your first post you said you had been married to your current wife for 4 years…and even though relationship was rocky , you both chose to let joint I-751 stand and spouse went with you to the interview.

1. You indicated you were nervous, and wife helped/ corrected some answers that you got “ wrong” , confused about.

2. Are the children from your previous marriage USC? ( born in the US?)..is their biological mother ( ur ex) not sharing custody? …you indicated they live w you….Was your ex a USC or is she undocumented or lives overseas?

3. How old are the children? Do they attend school near the house? Are they old enough to post to face book / social media? Is your private life ( tough moments in this marriage) possibly splattered ( unintentional/ innocently) on social media by any of your friends/ family..?

Hi @rocamey17

I'm so sorry you're going through this extremely stressful process with your ROC and citizenship.

To see both were approved and then re-opened for re-consideration and oath cancelled after several years of waiting must be devastating.

Was wondering if you could clarify your immigration timeline and give a brief history of how you got to the States, how your children got to the US (what is their status), when you divorced you first wife, and your first wife's physical location.

It would also be helpful if you indicated your country of origin.

Did you mention to the officer your marriage was currently rocky? Was the interview recorded? Did they talk to your wife without you at anytime?

Hopefully this is all an error... but if you give a comprehensive timeline maybe someone here can identify the potential reason behind their reversed decision.

I mean entry to USA (how did you arrive here?) What status did you adjust from? (K1/tourist/student... were you out of status?).

Marriage to first wife... is she a US citizen or from the same country as you? Is your first wife in the USA or in another country?

When did you divorce?

Where did you obtain the divorce in the US or in your home country?

Children: Are they US citizens? What other nationality do they have? How did they arrive to the US... with you or after you received your 2 year green card.

You: What is your current nationality.

Was a tough one getting the kids here bc of the different nationality,

Kids came in with CR1 last year.
