Doesn't matter. Your child is currently not a USC since they are outside the US. Since you are now a citizen and have had more than 5+ years physical presence in the US. When your child (Non-USC) is petitioned to the US and is admitted your child then automatically transitions to that of a USC by law. Again, apply for your child's US passport when they come to the US; no need for physical green card. And yes, you can apply for form N-600 optionally too.

Based on previous posts by the OP, the child was already admitted to the US with a B2.  The OP is currently trying to AOS for both the spouse and the child.

Op, sorry I missed a piece of your background as pointed out by @Dashinka. In your case, since your child entered on B2, they'll have to adjust first to permanent resident (which you are already pursuing). Once they are granted greencard status, they'll automatically become USC.

I went to a lawyer for a short consultation and asked him whether my child can get a USA passport while he is now here. Lawyer said, that my child has to stay in the USA at least 3 years and after this period we could apply for getting a US passport to him. Unfortunately I haven't asked him what law describes such rule. Before giving such answer lawyer asked when my child was born and when I ve gotten my USA passport. So, im wondering who is right in this situation, don't want to take risk and waist time.

Thank you!!! Would recommend me someone here who could help me with afidavit forms? Im confused how many forms should I fill in, one for both : wife and child, or one affidavit form for wife and one separate form for our child?

I think two separate petitions would imply two separate principal applicants and therefore two separate I-864 forms.

The member who moved your thread is an experienced VJer who is a volunteer organiser, helping us keep the forums tidy and putting topics where they belong. You posted in the "Bringing family to the USA" forum, as mentioned by the organiser.  This is the wrong forum for you to post in, because your wife and chil;d are already in the USA.  They want to adjust status from a B2 tourist visa, and so your questions should be posted in the "AOS from Tourist visa" forum, because that is the process you are using.  By moving your thread, the organiser ensured you are getting the correct answer, as forms, policies, waiting times and everything else can be very different from the process of getting a visa.

This is the appropriate forum for your thread as your family members are already in the US and applying for adjustment of status.

Your thread is in it now, that is what the organiser did, so you can just keep posting in this thread.
In fact, that is better to keep all the information together- we do not allow more than one thread on an issue/ question.

If you have related questions about I-864, please post them here in this thread.  No need to create a new one.  For questions about I-130 and I-485, please post them in your previous threads about those forms, which have also been moved to the AOS from Tourist Visas forum -- https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-amp-tourist-visas/
