immigrate mother in law from Ukraine

so my sister in law started to immigration process before then war broke out.

 

 

 

mama is not in good health and is 81.

I came to poland to help get them out. but mama has no international passport for and sister in law is threating to.pull sponsorship

 

 

my wife(green card) and mama have no way back to.states.  open for suggestions please.

Your post is a little confusing.

Your sister-in-law is petitioning for your mom or her mom?

Also, why can't 'mama' get passport at the Ukraine embassy in Poland?

A week ago I would have said head for Mexico but supposedly today is the last day to use that route.

 

Not sure how going to Canada would help.

 

New program tomorrow but doubt that will be quick.

You can try calling a Port of Entry in advance, speak with CBP and see if you can arrange Humanitarian Parole for her. However, given the new program that is opening up, they may tell you to go via that route.

passport is needed to get into Canada too

and MIL needs valid passport to take to interview

The passport issue will be what’s trickiest here. Tomorrow a program called “Unity for Ukraine” goes live (as Boiler said), and I highly suggest checking that out and seeing what it offers. I can only presume they’d want a passport but it’s a start; maybe you can write “N/A” and see what happens? We don’t know much about it yet.

 

But also as was said, everything is going to take time and the US appears content to have refugees sit out in the EU while we put something together. I know Biden said we’d take in some large amount of Ukrainians, but (a) we have not done that and (b) it won’t be easy. You said money is an issue. There should be relief programs in Poland that I highly, highly suggest taking a look into for your mother-in-law. I know Ukrainians are allowed to travel around Europe for free and I would think there’s also some subsidization with food/lodging. See if there’s any organization in your city you can call.
