Dear Friends, when we change adress, at USCIS says we can do it online, has anyone filled online AR 11 Change of Adress? If we choose to file AR11 online then we dont need to anything else, right? I mean, we dont need to call USCIS 1-800 number and inform local office, just to fill AR11 online is what we need I think so!

Thanks

We had to change our address in May. I filled out the online form and then changed the address for the I-485 and the I-765 online as well. I called USCIS to make sure that was all we needed to do and they said that we also needed to change the address over the phone AND print out the AR-11 and send the hard copy as well. You may get a different answer depending who you talk to when you call USCIS, who knows. I figured it was better to be safe than sorry and I did every way possible. Also, I changed the address for the I-864 as well. We received our EAD card to the changed address so it worked.

I filled out the AR-11 online and received a confirmation number of the change. I also contact USCIS on the 1-800 number to confirm that the address was updated on all pending applications and received a letter from them confirming that my address had been updated on their systems. I made the mistake though of not contacting the local office where my application was pending and 3 weeks later an interview letter was issued from them scheduling me for an AOS interview which I had to re-schedule. If I was doing so again, I would make in addition to completing the AR-11 online and contacting the 1-800 number that I also informed the local office, just to be sure.

My husband, as my sponsor, also had to complete and mail the I-865 form.
