Can we just translate and no sign. Im trying to translate some letters but someone mentioned to me that they dont need to be signed, only the original language needs to be signed?

is this correct?

Timeline

The originals can be simple copies, the translations must be signed by the translator with declaration that he´s apt in the original language and english. These can´t be copies.

I Mean, a letter from a friend in spanish stating that she knows about our relationship needs to be signed by her.

but when i get it translated.... does she has to sign again?

The translation is of the document etc itself so I doubt it would be necessary for the original writer again having to sign. If that was the case then all translations of Birth Certificates etc signed by the registrar or country equivalent would also need to be resigned. Imagine the logistics in that.

Claudeth took hers to a certified translator and the document he produced looked like the original German document except everything was translated to English :D
