Good Morning,

Does anyone know how long it typically takes once an expedite request has been approved to hear from the consulate for further instruction or an IL?   Does NVC DQ it and send right to the consulate or does the consulate DQ it?

Thanks in advance!

If you sent the request to NVC Expedite, they will contact the Consulate to request the expedite.  You will receive an email from the same NVC Expedite address accepting or denying your expedite.  If it's accepted, the case will hypothetically be sent to the consulate for interview scheduling.  They usually acknowledge your request to expedite within a week or 2 and a decision within another week or 2.

Not trying to be a jerk, but the likelihood of expedite in Montreal is extremely low.

We requested expedite last week, got an acknowledgment email a day later saying they sent the request to the consulate to accept it or not, then we got another email back the next day stating the consulate has agreed to expedite our case.

I just don’t know what the steps are after that since we haven’t been DQ yet

You're a lucky one!

Any updates on CEAC?  Has anyone looked at it since you'd received your email?

It's a case of hurry up and wait like everything else, unfortunately.  There was someone else on the main IR/CR page that had an expedite but it still wasn't super expeditious.  I believe their interview letter was issued in the next batch, but one of the first ones issued.
