Hello,

I received a message from the NVC this morning that requested that I (the petitioner) must submit all 2021 W2s. I have submitted the requested documents. My question is how long does it take for them to review the newly submitted documents? Please help.

A few years ago, that would send you back to the rear of the queue.  From what I have read, I think it still does.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Back of the entire queue...... in 2017, it was a 12 week delay.

We got that too (W2 for 2020) back  in March, submitted beginning of April, and haven’t heard anything. I assume we’re in for another 11.5weeks wait from the day we submitted

Although our case took place in early 2017, I have recently seen similar stories from other members.  12 weeks.

At least there is a more reliable timeframe for NVC than with the USCIS 😊

it will set you back to the back of the queue, which means a 3-month wait.

Nevertheless, there were few cases where the review of W2s was done pretty quickly. Kind of a draw of luck

Good luck

Thank you. I'm hoping maybe we will be one of the lucky ones. However, I highly doubt that. It is so frustrating. It would make this process so much smoother if they would have specifically requested W2s. If they did, I would have submitted it along with everything else. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to submit my W2s. I really appreciate your feedback. Thank you so much. I think I might just schedule a trip to Morocco soon because this means (if we are not one of the lucky, chosen ones) it will be September or October since we've seen each other.

Get ready for the interview as it mail in Morocco is poor

Take a copy of your I 864 and W2's and the tax returns for your records

he needs the originals of all

mail them (or take them to Morocco)

one of my packages took 6 months to get there

i found USPS overnight takes about a week

UPS and DHL are rather expensive
