Think I got most of this stuff covered before my parents Visa interview at embassy. I'm a bit confused about few things though 😕

Q 1:

"If you are married:  Your original marriage certificate, English translation, and a photocopy."

"Your original birth certificate, English translation, and a photocopy."

So...the ORIGINAL document, PLUS translated.. I Got that.  but...PHOTOcopy?  what the heck? photocopy of what?
Are they asking for ANOTHER copy of both so they can keep it?  If so of the english (translated) or the original?

Q 2:

Both my parents got their interview at embassy same date and same time. Will they most likely be interviewed together? or separately?

Q 3:

"The appropriate Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for each financial sponsor along with a photocopy of the sponsor’s IRS transcript or most recent U.S. federal income tax return, and any relevant W-2s."
So with the i864 they asked for a TRANSCRIPT of my tax returns. So for the interview, they need the 1000000 pages tax return instead and not the transcript that I can download from IRS which is only few pages?

Any advice at all is appreciated. Thank you :)

Yes, I would have a photocopy of any certified copy they take with them in case the consulate wants to keep anything.  You do not want to give them the certified copies of a marriage certificate or birth certificate.

Up to the CO.  The I130's are separate applications, but the consulate may have decided to combine them.

I am a little confused, it says most recent IRS transcript OR federal tax return with W2's/1099's.  You should be fine with the tax transcript, but if you recently filed your 2021 return, a transcript may not be available for your (I assume you are the I864 sponsor) most recent tax return, so you can copy you latest return and W2's/1099's.

Good Luck!

Thank you so much for your reply!!

One question though..

So for example with their marriage certificate and birth certificate, I have:
1. The ORIGINAL ones in farsi

2. Translated (signed and stamped) in english printed  (the translate company did no send me hardcopies. They only e-mailed me and I printed it)

Q 1:

Please don't tell me they need the ORIGINAL translated in english hard copy ? I mean how will they even know if it's original or scanned..

Q 2:

I don't need the translated as I can just print out as many as I like so I can just give them the english translated ones. Is that ok?
So in other words, I only need the original hard copy, and the english translated that I printed out and can give to them, right?

Q 3:
Is there any chance they need a copy of the ORIGINAL in farsi as well? 😕

Sorry ,that was 3 questions lol

Original would have a wet signature, you can always tell when a document was actually signed or it was just printed signature

Yoi can’t present what you don’t have. If they ask for an “original translation” just say what you told us, that they simply emailed you a translation

I’m not really understanding, it’s not very hard to make a photocopy of a document. Just make a photocopy of their original BC. If they ask, great you have it handy, if not, then not, you’ll have a photocopy of a BC, you might need it elsewhere in life.

I understand... it's just that knowing photocopy of translated in english or the original document would be nice to know...Wish they were more specific
I would need at LEAST 50 more pages of copies if it's both so it's not just 1 or 2 pages lol

Take a photocopy of both the original and the translation.  For immigration purposes, one is not complete without the other.

You can never go wrong by taking EXACTLY what they ask for, but a transcript SHOULD be OK.

You should be fine with the copies of the translations.

Q2, sure, take a couple copies of the printed out translation.

Q3, yes, make a copy of the original just in case.
