Oh gosh. Not this junk again eh? They made their rounds indeed last year!  https://apnews.com/article/fact-checking-545822818255 https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2021/11/04/fact-check-no-evidence-vaccinated-pilots-dying-during-flights/6236189001/

It's a nonsense claim and unfortunately it's being spread around the atypical disreputable locations. It is quite true that vaccine side effects can present themselves a stretch of time later. I can think of several reputable doctors and institutions studying a few of them. Individuals like these though, do great harm to those that are legitimately trying to get answers. I find it strange if he had concerns about the vaccine, why he chose J&J, the one where such risks may be higher.

That is certainly true, there are excellent case reports and ongoing studies. It is also successfully treated. However, there is no evidence that this shot did anything to him. He has claims. I might also claim that the vaccine dyed my hair black and made me grow eight limbs. I might claim that a vaccine gave me a heart attack, but what proof is there of this? I could also have had numerous pre-existing conditions, including catching COVID, that resulted in the offending incident. He is a guy that has made claims and those that are biting at his story are those that have vested interests in seeing it plastered as the truth with little merits to go on.

Btw, in case you'd dismiss me as a person that has always been angry and skeptical at people that claim the vaccine is responsible for everything and anything wrong in their lives - I have shared my husband's cardiac experience post vaccine here. I have not shared my own personal experience, or that I have participated in a post vaccine effect study, and have over the course of these past months been in contact of reputable doctors that are trying to help a small number of several thousand patients with two different types of unique, but concerning, post vaccine effects. We are certainly looking for answers, though the answers we find are not as nefarious or conspiracy oriented as one might think.

Here is a case of an AA pilot that died mid-flight (cardiac events can and do happen on flights statistically and offer some risks to pilots and passengers!). https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-34453146 Of course this was pre-COVID age, but I suspect his family never accused any of the numerous vaccines he had in his life of being the culprit.

Yup same junk recycled from last year. My favorite part was that a group of passengers just happened to notice the pilot slumped over in the cockpit and drug him outside.

Its amazing to me that some people will summarily dismiss any study from the Journal of New England medicine and  the Journal of the American medical association, but let some extreme right blog with a history of mis information post something. Bam its on

I also shared my vaccine reaction here, which was terrifying to me at the time. It took me five months to recover in full. My system freaked out with the first dose and went into overdrive creating antibodies, which in turn led to inflammation in my joints that was so painful at times, I wished I could have just unscrewed my hands at the wrist. Eventually, through some NSAIDs, cold therapy and good old fashioned time, I was back to normal. And I was happy to roll up my sleeve for my booster in December. I had the advice of my doctors and my own common sense guiding me. I'll gladly take the next booster when my age cohort is eligible in my state.

I'm also in a post-vaccine effects study -- this one lasts five years, and is particularly focused on the role inflammation plays in how the body reacts to the vaccines. Every month I travel to Cedars-Sinai and give three vials of blood. I get feedback after each draw -- in time, more tests will be run, but right now I've mostly been learning about antibody levels. I learned that it's highly unlikely I've ever had COVID given the very low level of "natural" antibodies in my blood, while my spike antibody levels are enormous. It's the least I can do to help further scientific understanding.

My experience is similar, though it took until the booster to present itself. I'd say it seems that everyone I've talked to though have all had the findings bolded above. The doctors so far have urged no more vaccines and extra precaution until more findings are released. What many of us need is time, as they say when the levels lower the symptoms may dissipate, but they cannot guarantee I'm not stuck this way either. I'm waiting on the insurance to approve an unusual treatment. It is what it is, I'd gladly do it again of course.
