Hello guys, I need help please.

My fiancée filed for a k1 visa about two weeks ago, the passport pictures and a flash drive was sent back to her because they weren’t placed in plastic bag and labeled.

Please,  do we just place them in the plastic bag, label them and resend to the uscis??

Can someone help tell me why the passport pictures and flash drive was sent back to her??

USCIS will NOT accept flash drives. It is clearly written in the instructions for I-129F:

Do not include:

  • Anything that contains electronic chips and batteries (such as musical greeting cards) or any non-paper materials such as CD-ROMS, DVDs, toys, action figures, or thumb drives. We will not accept these types of materials. However, we will accept photographs or copies of these items;

Thank you so much powerpuff.

what about the passport pictures, should resend them?

Absolutely. Using pencil write your names at the back, put them in a small plastic bag such as a small ziplock bag or a plastic pill pouch and resend them. Please read and re-read the instructions on RFE on how to put everything together and resubmit.

A flash drive?  Your records must be scanned into the USCIS system........ In addition, a flash is a major security hazard.  They probably don't even have the ability to insert it.

I wonder if they mean toys or you know... toys.

My thoughts exactly.

I remember an OP a few years ago saying she regretted sending pictures that were too intimate! That's why I am saying I am dying for an IO to share about stuff people send.

If she got approved then hey, can't argue with results. :P
