I have arrived in USA via LAX on 30 March and I have just received my SS card. I had paid my fees 3 weeks prior arrival.

I am still waiting on my green card. Any idea how long it would take to arrive?

It seems there is a tracking number from USPS to track its delivery but I can't seem to locate the tracking number. I tried contacting USCIS but was met with automated service, I could not get to a representative.

Anyone able to shed some light? TIA!

You can only track it if it was issued. Has it been issued?

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

That the SS card was delivered is a good sign provided you paid the green card fee.

Now that you have an SSN your used, canceled, and stamped passport is a temporary I-551 that is evidence of authorized presence and authorization to work. You can get a job, drivers license, bank account.

If you want to talk to USCIS on the phone, call USCIS, say “info pass”, and you will get a human. Ask for a tier 2 officer to call you regarding your green card.

Good advice but it's only been three weeks since entry.  Way too soon to be concerned yet.

A Warning to Green Card Holders About Voting

Our GC arrived in 5 weeks. Of course the name on the card is incorrect (shows first name as middle name and vice versa). Took only three weeks to get a Biometrics appointment to correct. USCIS agent says it a common error occurrence since names on Vietnamese documents are inversed with middle and first names. Took about 5 minutes at the Biometric office. Expecting the GC in a few weeks. Once the card arrive, we'll have to change SS card, state ID etc. Discovered the error 3 months after entering the USA. Check names on GC and visas.

Enter the IOE# of the immigrant fee payment receipt here -- https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

You will get a USPS tracking number only after the case status changes to something like "Card picked up by post office".  Until then, you'll have to wait.  If you don't get your plastic GC in the mail after 90 days from POE, you may log a USCIS ticket for non-delivery of card.  I recommend you create a myUSCIS account to be able to verify that your I-551 personal information was entered correctly by CBP.

Check the latest comments in the thread below for updates from other recent arrivals like you.  My card took 130+ days to be delivered 😒
