My husband (in Morocco) and I (in the states) submitted all docs to NVC yesterday. In the beginning of the application process on the CEAC (Consular Electronic Application Center) stated "If your case is processing electronically, please scan and email your documents to NVCElectronic@state.gov". This confused me as we submitted the documents on the website.

While researching the information, I found "only email documents if instructed. Submitting documents by email when not instructed to will delay the processing of your case."

So now I am not sure what to do. I don't want to email if it is redundant and will delay our case. I am second-guessing this now. Should we email even if we submitted online? I can't find a single piece of information on this anywhere. Did anyone else do this? Help or guidance would be appreciated!! Ty!!

The NVC stage is a completely different step in this process

here u receive the Casa case # , pay the AOS and IV fees and when they are marked paid ,  u submit the supporting  civil and income documents

the latest year's tax returns (IRS transcrpts preferred otherwise 1040 with W2's,  any 1099,  1099R or Social security benefits recd)

copy of his 2 Moroccan criminal reports (originals he will take to interview)

  • Police certificate (fiche anthropometrique) and English translation
  • Court record (casier judiciare) and English translation
What documents does NVC need?

All visa applicants must submit documents showing their eligibility for a visa class, and identifying information. That includes a birth certificate, marriage and divorce certificates, and police certificates.

Thank you! I submitted the AOS and Financial documents and my husband submitted the DS-260 with the Civil documents on CEAC after payments were completed. I just don't know if they need to be emailed as well.

You do NOT need to email anything.

Just make sure everything is uploaded correctly to the ceac website, and double check to ensure you submitted all pages of each document, including blank pages of the Affidavit of Support.

Make sure all docs show submitted.

Just FYI: NVC requires two "police documents" from Morocco: Police certificate (Fiche anthropometrique) and Court certificate (Casier judiciaire)

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1

Thank you! I called NVC to confirm and they told me not to email documents. My husband only provided the record from the court 😩. I thought he had to submit two documents but he said the police station wouldn't be able to provide anything. I will let him know. Thank you so much!
