I know, another "refused" question! So my wife's visa was refused at interview pending submission of joint sponsor. Here is the timeline:

Interview: March 31, 2022

CEAC status: Refused

Case Last Updated: March 31, 2022

Submitted joint sponsor documents and sent email informing them of such April 10, 2022.

(checked CEAC today)

CEAC status: Refused

Case Last Updated: April 18, 2022

I checked in CEAC application and all documents still just say "submitted." Does anyone who has experienced this same situation have any idea what that could mean? Does it mean they are still reviewing and sit tight, or does it mean more bad news coming?

means they received the needed documents =not necessarily reviewing them yet

but patience is the key

Ok, thanks. That's what we thought, but second guessing the government is proving very difficult in this process. 🤣

They received, but probably didn't review it yet. In general, they are taking 90 days to review submmited documents. I don't know their timeframe for documents submmited after the interview. Hopefully is sooner.

When I was at NVC stage, after waiting 3 months for them to review, I was missing one document, and submmited hours later. They took another 3 months to review that only one I was missing. Probably there's a different timeframe for this situation. I hope so!
