Hello!

Hello guys! good morning everybody!

once my petition was approved, i let my son to continue the process with the NVC, he paid the IV and AOS fee, but because he is so careless he let it expire.

Is that money completely lost, is there anything to do to retrieve that?

You can request NVC to resume visa processing without paying again. It's up to NVC. If it was self carelessness, very likely you have to pay for it again and start new AOS and DS260z

is this for the F1 timeline on your profile ?

Monies were paid in 2012?

or a different petition?

as it would help the VJ community know the visa type and the dates the IV and AOS were paid as no one here can give u an educated answer without knowing these specifics

Hello.

sorry for not being more specific.

No, this is for a petition i filed for my son, my case was already finished, i am already living in the States.

During the pandemic i received a letter that my petition for my son was approved, but was until almost a year later that my son paid the IV and AOS fee, Mar 26 and 31 past year, so, there is 20 and 24 days ago that expired.

have u tried to fill out the I 864 and ds 260 thru CEAC site?     i would try before thinking its not possible

also mail NVC with case # and both petitioner and Bene name and both DOB's and ask to continue the process

it can't hurt to try
