Applying for K1 visa. Married and Divorced under Sharia court

Hi po. Me and my ex husband both converted to Islam and got married under Sharia court and registered our marriage in the Philippine Consulate in the Middle East for PSA. I have no previous marriage prior to that. Then I get divorced in the Philippines under Sharia court as "Divorce by Faskh".  It was then annotated in my MC by PSA stating that "marriage is hereby dissolved". Do I still need to secure CEMAR? Will the PSA annotated MC and court decision will be enough evidence as proof to marry? And do you think my case is a good case to have an approved K1 visa? Thank you so much. God Bless.

Your annotated PSA MC + divorce documents from Sharia court should have been submitted with the I-129F petition.  CENOMAR (or CEMAR, in your case) is not required for the petition, but it is required at the embassy stage for all K1 visa applicants in the Philippines.  Make sure to bring your CEMAR (Advisory of Marriage) to the visa interview.

As to whether you will be approved for K1, no one here can say for sure, as we do not have all the details about your case.  Only the consul officer at USEM will know.

At what stage of the K1 process are you?  Please update your VJ profile and timeline.
