So what to do about moving over and missing all your shows?

Slingbox is the answer.

We're going to buy one, give it to a good friend of ours...pay for a sky sub....and watch all brit tv at our leisure. He'll hook up the computer to a tv here & Bob's your uncle.

just an idea if anyone is really missing anything....

I do OK with the selection from Nova. Any more than that, and I'd be concerned about my viewing habits.

Not really all that bad in price if you truly use it!

Yep.

But if you're thinking about getting one in the UK, you're going to have to buy an extra sub cos it will control the tv that it's attached to...so you can't switch the channel on whoever's hosting the slingbox. That would be just rude.

At least that's what we've heard thusfar.

D just found out that to view the tv on slinbox will take up most of the upload speed wherever the slingbox is hosted.

So, maybe not. Unless broadband stops being capped. We'll see.
