Wife departing NAIA

My wife is departing NAIA on Wednesday for LAX to return home after a visit. I have registered her for the Antigen test and we have the QR code. Are there any tips about getting the test done with the least amount of pain. Also, does she need to pay any kind of travel tax? I believe when she left on her K1 we had to pay something and we did at at MOA. Of course this is not an option for her. Can she take care of everything at the airport? I know I have never had to pay anything in Manila as it was included in the ticket. But, I do know they like to take a little skin from their citizens))) Thanks in advance.

If she has a GC, I don't think she needs anything other than comply with CDC guidelines.

And the rapid antigen test is a 2 mins easy thing. So, that shouldn't be a problem.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

I'm getting ready to leave Manila this Wednesday too.

Here's what I've prepped:

1. Antigen test - I'm doing mine at Makati Medical Center for PHP 660. I chose that hospital because I've used them a few times before and never had a problem with late results. Just keep in mind that traffic in Manila is almost back to pre-pandemic levels.

2. Travel tax exemption - she can do this online or at NAIA itself on the day of her flight: https://tieza.gov.ph/travel-tax-exemption/

I did mine online a few weeks ago and got the exemption certificate the day after I applied.

If she chooses to get it done at NAIA, just get there early. Lots of passengers at the airport again.

3. CDC passenger attestation - can be done online too. No need to print. My husband just showed the digital version at check-in a few weeks ago. I plan to do the same.

Thanks for this, A. She is flying in from Dipolog and has a very long layover so she should have no problems getting things done. But, you know how that goes))

Just make sure it is not already included in the ticket.  I assume she is on PAL and I think they have the option to include it in the ticket when booking.  Usually the Tieze desk will check your ticket to make sure you are not paying twice.

@seekingthetruth you're right, I remember that PAL option now. If the travel tax was already paid when they bought the ticket, I think @Carpe Vinum's wife can get a refund. I've never tried this option, though: https://tieza.gov.ph/travel-tax-refund/
