Air vs land border to enter USA from Canada with pending 130

Hello,

My wife has just received her Canadian passport and wants to visit me in USA for the first time. We filed 130 a year ago, and need to still wait 1-2 years . In your experience, which border (land or air) has higher chance of entering USA with Canadian passport with a pending 130 (i.e. less questioning)? If she denies entry, does it mean she can not try entering for the future? Any advise is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Do not try to play/gamble the system.  If she is truly wanting to just visit, and tells the truth at whichever port of entry, she should be fine.

The problem is when people lie and seek entry to try to stay and adjust, thereby circumventing the queue.

She will need to show strong ties to Canada, which can be tricky with a US spouse.

Does not matter. Some ppl will say car is easier others will say plane. It truly is luck of the draw.

I was denied once, I was able to visit a few more times after that. I drove as I lived in a border town. Just need to be better prepared then I was the first time.

I visited the US with a pending i130 multiple times a month with no issues at all (Pearson Airport, Rainbow Bridge, Queenstown bridge, Fort Erie Bridge, Ambassador Bridge, Windsor Tunnel and Sarnia bridge). Never been asked a single question regarding proof of ties but I always carried my recent pay stubs, job letter and mortgage statements with me in case they asked.
