My son has a Parole, I'm a US CITIZEN. How can I help him

Hello,

I am a US citizen, my son is 34 years old. He is a journalist and enter thru Mexico border and has a PAROLE.

He come to US seeking to apply for asylum.

As a US Citizen, what are my option to help him??

Is he married? If so, it'll take twice amount of time to get a GC...

 

But, yes, you can petition for him

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Help him ( financially) to get legal help/ attorney for his asylum app and submit a strong case . You can DIY an I-130 Petition , even though it’s decades away .
It’s enough to remember 245 ( i) and petitions filed before 04/30/2001 that have helped so many, in a way other than intended ..
