Hello All,

We applied for 16 years old kids for passport directly to the State Dept. (based on parents Citizenship certificate), we received kids passport but they also requested to submit his Green Card to the USCIS as it is no more useful and need to update the record.

We do the same per request! My question is, will USCIS send anything for confirmation that they received Green Card and record is updated now, however, we sent with certified mail and return signature!

Regards

I would not have sent the green card and instead would have filed N-600.  At the N-600 oath ceremony  USCIS would have collected the green card then.

Expect nothing back from USCIS as you didn’t submit the green card in association with an N- or I- petition.

State has a habit of imposing policies on USCIS that don’t exist.

Hi, did you apply for more than one kid at the same time using 1 original naturalization certificate? Because am going through this now and have been told that I need to apply for one kid at a time because for each passport application I need the original naturalization certificate!
