Yes I know the OP’s spouse is already working the new job.I was rebutting mflip’s opinion  i hadn’t seen your post.

Can a credible offer of employment for the visa applicant replace or supplement an insufficient Affidavit of Support?

No, the law does not recognize offers of employment in place of the Form I-864. A job offer may show ability of the applicant to overcome ineligibility as a public charge, but does not meet any I-864 requirement.

A letter from the employer stating he is employed and the salary is what I would take as a better option than an offer, which doesn’t mean he accepted and is working. Just a suggestion.

And it's a good suggestion.  Safer, but most likely not necessary.  The paragraph you quote does not cover all contexts though.  This is just a job change for an otherwise well qualified sponsor.

I don’t think they will even ask her about the I-864 that was submitted to NVC. I wouldn’t say anything and just let it ride.

So you didn't end up showing any of the new financial documents?

Also thank you so much for such a descriptive reply! It is super helpful to me :)

I had asked my wife for all the current taxes W2 and pay stubs for the current year as we filed with last years. Her new job wasn’t on it yet and I’ll be honest I didn’t think about it or I would have been mega stressed lol!

she hadn’t  been working long enough to have any pay stubs either! But no they didn’t ask to see any of the tax transcripts or pay stubs, just my birth cert marriage certificate and police certificate, and they pretty much handed them right back to me.

always better to be over prepared and not need things though, so bring anything you think you might need and it’s there should they ask. :)

yes sorry I should have been more clear job contract, I meant signed stating that he is currently working etc

I was asked “does your wife work” to which I just said yes, she works remotely so can work on the move. As I had been previously asked when was the last time we saw each other, and I replied by saying she was in the UK for about two and a half months.
That’s the extent of any questions I was asked about her job/employment.

Did you file with the 2021 tax year or 2020? Sorry, I think I am just confusing myself 😂
