Moved to a pile of adjudication? That sounds horrible....I checked three receipt numbers above and below mine...all have been approved since March 2 2020. e.g 140, 141, 143, 145 all have been approved.....😔

Hi All,

I'm looking into getting the stamp the on my passport just to refresh my memory, but it seems like lots of info are outdated online. I was wondering if any of you is also looking into it and can share some knowledge? Lots of sites are saying you have to make an appointment via InfoPass but it seems like USCIS no longer provides that service online. Do I just have to call the number to make an appointment at my local office (once it opens?)

I've been waiting since May 28th 2019. My status says waiting to be scheduled for an interview. Is this normal? Will we actually be scheduled for an interview or is this a default status?

Thanks

If you belong to National Benefit center (MSC) you will most likely to have an interview.

That is false. So many people were transferred to national benefits center and was approved without an interview.

My case was transferred to NBC about 28 days ago. Do you know how long it takes for them to adjudicate once transferred?

I think what the other poster meant is that NBC is the service center that prepares cases for interviews, so the absolute majority of cases that ens up there do get an interview. He never said "WILL have an interview", only "most likely". And he's not wrong. That's  what NBC does, they prepare cases for the interviews it's common knowledge.

However, since the virus happened things have not been normal and we have seen some cases being transferred there for workload reasons, not for interview reasons. There has also been some cases who normally absolutely would have an interview, now got their interview waived instead. This is out of the ordinary because of the virus, and the way things look right now, we're likely headed back to normal again. The absolute majority of people at NBC will have an interview.

What was the reason for the transfer? If you had previously gotten an RFE from the first service center, and USCIS weren't satisfied with your response, then a transfer to NBC means you'll have an interview. If that's the case then you need to look at your local field office's processing times.

If your case was transferred for workload reasons then you're probably not getting an interview. These kind of transfers are not a thing normally, that's  why you don't find any processing times for NBC on the website. Things are very much out of the ordinary right now, I don't  think anybody can even give you a guesstimate as to how long you'll have to wait, sorry.

No but court and pat was approved without an interview they had an interview with their k1 visa process they were transferred to NBC March 31st.... and approved June 1st. So I dunno how long they take. I don’t want to say it roughly takes two months afterwards and it turn out to not be true.  I was transferred over April 21st so if it is roughly two months I’ll certainly update if I get a response by the end of this month.

That is not true. The transfers to the various service centers was only to help with the backlogs.  So many persons in this thread and others have confirmed approvals and no rfe for being transferred to nbc. NBC is helping with the backlogs n that’s it and will process cases just like the other service centers.
