Im not sure I just assumed they would ask you why you couldn't make it. Not going to lie and say funeral or anything. Ive heard of people being out of the country on vacation and not being able to make the appointment and making up some excuse.

Huh. They didn't ask me why I rescheduled my appointment. In fact, they didn't really talk to me at all, haha.

Either way, I think not missing class is a pretty good excuse! Education is important.

Anyone know if they still allow walk ins? Ive a class at the time of mine and don't want to miss.

During my I-485 I did walk-in few days early as I had an exam on the same day as the appointment. The guard said he can’t let me in before asking his boss. They paged him and he came and asked me why I came in few days early and I told him why. He said they usually don’t let people in early but he let me in.
Maybe try a walk-in before you try to reschedule because you never know how long it will take them to reschedule and the new appointment still might be interfering with other thing you have.

Hi all!

We filed on 5/23, got the biometric appointment waived since my husband had one in January and now have the status of “case ready to be scheduled for interview” as of 7/31. Nothing since then. Our case started and is still at the MSC.

Just curious if this timeline is normal.

I hope that true..my wife and I want to travel outside the country but she is afraid to reenter with the extension letter

From what I’ve seen in the forum, she should be good to reenter in the US without any issue With her extension letter and exp. green card

I did it this summer with no issues at all. They didn't even ask me any questions, they just looked at the green card and the extension letter. Given it takes so long for the cases to be approved, I'm sure they are used to seeing people in our situation
