Hi, I received my I-797/NOA on June 5, 2019. Receipt number starts with LIN.

I have not received my biometrics appointment letter yet, and tried to do a service request through this link today (July 24).

Yet, when I clicked 'submit', the website said: "Your application or petition is currently within the posted processing times. An inquiry may not be created at this time. Further information about recent processing times can be viewed on the uscis.gov webpage."

I thought 30 day is the processing window? Any comments, thoughts, etc. are welcome.

Sit back and relax, according to the VJ stats, I-751 petition approval times are running between twelve to fourteen (12 - 14) months. Suggest that you get involved with the June 2019 ROC filers group in this forum to keep current on processing times.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Thank you so much! It's definitely good to hear that from someone else to get that confirmation direly needed. :)

Good luck on your journey as well.

Hello lovely people!

just a quick update for you. I checked the uscis website yesterday and they said an interview is being arranged. This scared me a little BUT then i read that since December 2018 interviews for this process are now the norm so I'm looking forward to receiving a date and time etc!

I don't believe interview are the norm since Dec'18. It's the opposite because USCIS announced that interviews would be waived upon discretion based on certain criteria. see below link.

https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/uscis-revises-interview-waiver-guidance-form-i-751

But anyways, congrats on the interview. It just means your case will move faster vs the rest of us who have to wait the current processing time for the officer to review our case.

Could  you share your timeline ?

thanks for the reply,  but it does say that since Dec anyone who hasn't already been interviewed by USCIS will now have to be interviewed? or am i reading it wrong? Have you been interviewed by USCIS before? I'll keep you updated. This entire process is frustrating!

USCIS gives a memorandum indicating that interview may be waived when meeting certain condition. Now my question is have you had interview when you initially obtained CR1 status?

No, the only interview I did was at the embassy in Dublin when I got approved for my visa. I did not do any interview for the original Perm. Resident Card.

Got ya. That totally explains your interview being scheduled albeit I 751 interview is not as often as other types of benefits (i.e: I 485).

But at least you are one step ahead.

I start to notice that if there was no interview by USCIS (like your case), it will trigger in-person interview, which might help to get I 751 approved earlier than other cases. Like typical I 751 processing time is around 12-16 months for those who already have interview with USCIS, but it could be earlier when USCIS conducts in-person interview and believe that marriage is bona fide and approved for I 751

Best luck and let us know your updates when possible!

Hi All, we filed for my husband's removal of conditions at the end of April (received date of 4/25/2019).  It's a bit weird because we received two NOAs for the case with the same Receipt Number - one with a notice date of 4/30/2019 and one with a notice date of 5/3/2019.  We have a SRC receipt number so it will be the Texas service center I assume.  Another weird thing is that the Receipt number doesn't pop up anything when I check my case status - it comes back with the error as follows:

  • My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I called the contact center about a month ago but they told me to call back later so I plan to call again this week.  We haven't received a biometrics appointment yet.  Should I be worried?  I know at least we've received the NOA(s) and the check was cashed so they have the packet and I assume they are working on it.  And I see from the spreadsheet and other people on here that it seems like Biometrics appointments are taking a really long time for SRC people.  Anyone have any thoughts or just want to make me feel better? :)

Is there any updates on your case??

My wife is still waiting for her biometrics letter as well...she received her NOA1 on 5/31 (SRC receipt number)

She is starting to worry as well....

Thanks in advance!
