I-175 May 2019 Filers

Should be hopping down to the post office this afternoon to mail off my petition!

Hubby and I stayed up last night to double check the whole thing and I'm so glad we did, he caught a few of my errors and things I needed to fix. Fixed those up today!

Unsure about how exactly I'm going to mail it. Will probably need to go in a box. But I don't have ACCO fasteners and just used binder clips to hold sections together.
I know it's not too big of a deal since they'll take it all apart and scan it anyway, but I wish I had a good way to at least hold all the paper together as one piece.
The binder clips make it a little awkward since it's now bulkier on the top than the other sides.
Any suggestions before I drop it off?

I used a single binder clip..........I recommend USPS Priority Mail.

I haven't been able to find binder clips big enough to secure all of my paper, hence the multiple

Definitely doing USPS Priority Mail with signature on delivery. Just unsure what box it'll best fit in (I have a business and ship through USPS all the time, so I have boxes on hand, but most are too big. Hoping PO will have a better sized box...)

I would use multiple binder clips and a rubber band to hold the entire stack together.....A signature on delivery is ok, but not needed.  Priority mail allows tracking.

Good idea on the rubber band! 

I just prefer signature on delivery when it comes to important paperwork. Like I mentioned, I ship through USPS constantly, and their tracking can be really iffy at times. Just an extra layer of security to give me peace of mind once it gets there 😂 Plus it's not too much of an additional cost.

I used regular paper clips too, a ton of them. I put them all around the package, not just on the top. Kinda evened things out a little I guess.

I used a lot of jumbo paperclips too. I might try and space the binder clips out so it's less bulky in one corner. 

I've always sent my immigration paperwork with signature on delivery 🤷‍♀️ Like I said, it's an extra layer of security that gives me peace of mind (and like I mentioned, I ship things via USPS on an almost daily basis, so I'm pretty familiar with USPS tracking).
I think if it was a real hassle for them, they'd specify somewhere not to do it, but I've never had an issue with it and the cost is pretty insignificant.

Dropped it off at USPS a few hours ago! Feeling a little nervous. Ended up using a medium flat rate priority box. The box had sticky seals on the inside and I was going to ask the postal worker at the checkout to tape the edges of the box but she had already moved our box away and started calling on the next customer after we paid 😕 
Oh well. The irrational part of me is just going to worry until it's delivered.

Petition was just delivered today! So glad to have gotten it done and dusted, and I can head on vacation this weekend stress-free!

As you've all said already, now it's just a case of waiting!
