Hey Guys,

 

I overnight-ed my package via UPS and asked for "signature".  Have any of you asked for signature and got it upon delivery? 

 

 

Earliest date of filing: May 26 2019

Package Delivered: May 29th 10AM via UPS Overnight 

Money Order Paid: June 03 2019

Text Message with LIN# : Jun 04 2019 6:18PM

NOA Received : Jun 06 2019 (dated  05/31/2019)

Biometrics appointment letter received: 10/11/2019

Biometrics completed: 10/21/2019

Online Approval: 04/17/2020 " new card is being produced"

Many people do that. You'll be able to see the name of the person who signed for it. At least with USPS you can.

My 90 day window kicked in on the 18th of May.

 

I sent in the documents on the 23rd of May through FedEx and they were delivered on the 24th of May. 

 

Just received the text message from USCIS that the case has been received. Form 1-797 to follow in mail. 

 

Excited to be here with you all through this part of our journey. Lets do this!

Welcome aboard.  It took about a week for the official 797/LOE to arrive.  Then another week for the appt letter for biometrics.

USCIS sends you an appointment letter.

You go to the listed USCIS center

They take your fingerprints and photograph.

That is all.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Very normal, some only get their appointment a year or more after filing. USCIS have no use for your fingerprints right now, they won't pick up your case anytime soon to start go through it. Once they do, a long time from now, they need your fingerprints unless they can reuse the old ones.
