Hey! Just wanted to thank you for the advice as it worked. 
Customer service called me back within 1 day, then told me I had to speak to tier 2 officer as there were no available appointments at my field office. Tier 2 called back within 3 business days and scheduled me for next Monday, asked that I bring proof of emergency.

So I'm looking at our online account for N-400 and it says estimated time until case decision: approx. 27 days. We still haven't heard anything about our ROC yet. Anyone have any experience with the accuracy of this day? Should we expect to hear something soon or am I just getting my hopes up. Keep in mind, we will have been married for 5 years 21 days from now. I find it interesting. Maybe it will put us to the front of the line. LOL I'm not counting on anything but it certainly would be nice.

the n400 also says to allow up to 16 months how long as it been since?

Ok I have a question for people that are still waiting…so my wife’s 18 months extension expired and we got an infopass appointment at our local USCIS office. They did give her an one year extension stamp on her passport. We were just thinking earlier….they took away her expired green card. Is that correct? I’ve seen people still has possession of their expired green card.

Hi there! Still waiting as well… 😑 They seem to keep the card sometimes (maybe depends on the officer?), as the stamp itself is proof of permanent resident status and the expired green card isn’t anymore. They let me keep mine but it’s now more of a souvenir than anything.

They took my card last year too. The stamp is your card. The physical card is I-551 and the stamp is just a one year I-551 stamp. I was nervous about it too. Traveled back home for a funeral, got a new job and no issues.

Coming up on 9 months now. It would be a year but we moved states and had to wait an additional 3 months after we were eligible to apply for N400.

They did the same for us. We got an stamp in my wife's passport and they took away her expired green card.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

No.  The status changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" since May of 2019.  On September 2, 2021, my wife got an ADIT stamp in her passport so she could travel to her home country for a visit....where she is right now.
