Thank you for your reply. We appreciate the support!

Did you have an interview for AOS so it wasn't necessary for ROC? Hubby's AOS was approved without interview in 2017, which is probably why his i-751 is still pending. I assume the pandemic, combined with the general USCIS backlog, has delayed scheduling for the i-751 interview. BUT STILL! He filed 1 year and 11 months ago. It's totally insane.

I wonder whether the IO will have a similar reaction during my husband's interview on Friday--that he/she was not aware of the pending i-751....

How did the interview go? Were they able to adjudicate the I-751 along with the N-400? Good luck!

Thanks for asking! Hubby's interview went very well. They DID adjudicate the i-751 together with the N-400. Totally unexpected, because the interview letter specifically mentioned N-400 and we never received any updates about a combo interview. Hubby reported that the USCIS officer was incredibly nice and friendly--he basically said "I see you've been waiting awhile; let's get this done."

For those of you who have had your N-400 interviews, if you did your application electronically, did you still bring a printed dupe of all documents you included?
I just organised my entire I-751 dupe I made and am now wondering if I should do my N-400 as a physical copy too.

I didn't. I just brought a few new, updated evidence and originals or certified copies of the important documents (birth certificates, passports, marriage certificates, divorce decrees etc).

After my interview the IO specifically told me they're trying to keep down the number of papers in each file (mine was on the desk, nearly 8" thick), when she took my newly filed tax return (you know the whooole thing of about ~50 pages, not a transcript), she scanned it into the system instead of making paper copies.

Ok good to know! Thank you!

It's such a stressful time trying to figure out what to bring and not wanting to potentially miss anything they may ask for. If my N-400 covers things to show joint finances, should I just assume they will use those for the I-751 and then just bring copies of up to date info from when the N-400 was filed to now?
Or should I just bring everything from when the I-751 was filed to now, regardless of what was included with the N-400?

Stelare, although you initially submitted all documents and required enclosures electronically, it's always prudent to bring with you hardcopies in the event your interviewer questions and/or asks about/for a specific item. Likewise, print all joint banking, utilities, mortgage/rent invoice statements, joint insurance policies & invoices, any joint credit card statements, or any other joint reoccurring payment documentation, plus air travel ticket receipts or airline account manifest printout. Always err on being prepared with 'more evidence' to present is always the best preparation. You will be fine, just be relaxed with a pleasant attitude and your interview will go well!

My RoC and N-400 interview is this coming week - a couple more questions about documents to take; Should I be taking my original birth certificate with me? I think it mentioned spouses birth certificate so that is something we will be taking, but wondering if I need mine too?

My husband and I also just had an offer on a home accepted this past week. Obviously we have not closed yet but I did print out the signed offers, the signed counteroffers confirming we were accepted as well as a preliminary title report that lists both of us. I am not on the loan for the house though (my credit would have brought down the loan we were approved for, so we decided to leave me off the loan but put me on the title), is that potentially going to be an issue? I do at least have our current lease documents with both our names on it to bring.

We also have not filed our taxes yet, as my husband usually files an extension due to the family business needing extra time to do their taxes first (which is needed for him to do our taxes). We haven't filed the extension yet though, since the due dates were pushed back this year and that should be long enough for the family businesses taxes to be done by and ours too. Will that be an issue? Should I have him file an extension anyway so I can bring proof of that with us? Or is it a non-issue with the general extension for everyone this year?

For me, the notice letter mentioned what to bring for my spouse (his birth certificate, our marriage certificate etc.)
Then of course the usual documents like up to date taxes, joint finance stuff  etc.

Hi Sorry for the delay

Bring everything and anything that proves you are a couple and living together etc Bills, Bank Statements, Insurance policies etc

they would have liked to have original documents and ones that go back 6-12 months so that shows you have been and still are together.

they made a point of asking me for my tax return (i file seperately so didn't think it was of interest to them) but it would again show that i was "married" but filing on my own but it would my spouse name and ssn etc on it.

We also brought more recent photos and they kept some.

hope this helps and best wishes.

For those of you who have had interviews for N400 - When it came to bringing up to date tax information, did you print our your entire tax return? Mine are over 70 pages long... I don't necessarily want to print 4 years worth of them.
I know I can get transcripts but I'm having trouble getting ahold of them online

My wife had her N400 and I751 interview last Friday and we still do not have a result. I was able to enter the facility with her and the officer saw me there but did not require me to come to the interview. She passed the citizenship test and was then asked some things about the I751, mostly documentation. My wife had prepared as much new evidence as possible, including our recent purchase of a home and new joint benefits accounts, but this wasn't enough to satisfy the officer. So of course, we are waiting on this silly I751 again. What a joke.

Meh, some officers are so picky while others use their common sense and don't overdo things "just because". Too bad you got a picky one, she even saw you being there with your wife! But at least it should be an easy fix and your wife will be approved very soon.
