My extension letter is expiring soon in a couple of days, and my passport is also expired.

Any idea what to do? Any buddy has been through this before?

Get a new passport and then get a stamp. They can also stamp a I-94, but passport is better if traveling is needed.

First thing is to renew your passport. Without passport you are blocked in doing anything.

Thursday was supposed to be my day 7. I called yesterday and they said they were not sure why I didn't get a call and the lady over the phone said she would put an additional request as urgent. 30 minutes later, I get a call back from the 202 phone to schedule an appointment to get my passport stamped. I was trying to see if they could just do my interview instead but the lady on the phone said this had to be done first.

I called for the infopass appointment on January 19 but haven’t received a call yet. Today is day 10 business days. I called back today (Feb 1) and the agent kept repeating “we can’t do anything else but wait because you already submitted the request” and the call dropped just like that.... I read others saying that they called back after day 7 and their request was marked as urgent and escalated. Since my extension letter expires on Feb 17 and the stamp is needed for my work, what do I need to tell the agent to escalate my request? Or, as the agent said, should I just keep waiting?
Nothing they promised happens in a timely manner even for this simple infopass appointment..

Update from my previous comment above: I called back because the call was dropped. An agent was a lot nicer than the previous one but I received the same information: just wait because you are in queue. I asked if my request could be marked as urgent because it’s been 10 business days, however, the answer was that could make myself in the back of the line so just wait. I will keep waiting for the call. This is my guess but I think the call is being delayed because I’m in LA area where could be busier than other areas? But yeah, thank you for reading my update!

I'm also in LA. I got an email after 15 business days that they have scheduled an appointment for me. I didn't call back just waited.  But be aware they will ask you to remove your masks once you are at the appointment. Good luck!

Thank you so much for the additional information, TimmyArya!
I usually don’t put my phone on ringtone because of too many spam calls and messages and it’s been annoying to have it on ringtone for a while now for this call XD Hope you have a great week!

When I called, I figured out that you have to say "schedule an infopass". Anything else will cause the system to take over and good luck at that point.

Side note: I didn't get to do the info pass on Jan 19 because it was cancelled due to the inauguration. I called them back on Tuesday and the agent was super friendly and understood the situation. I got a call on Wednesday morning to schedule and when the lady was about to enter it, she noticed that the Philadelphia Office has already scheduled me for mid February. After explaining that I had no drivers license and this would impact my work and a possible job opportunity (which I didn't get), she scheduled me for Friday afternoon (22nd).

Once I got into the office on the 22nd, the agent took my passport and verified everything and stamped it for 1 year. He mentioned people are just filing their citizenship forms while waiting for the removal. Recommended I just do that while waiting. He said they are backed up and have to adhere to covid restrictions so they aren't operating at full capacity. All in all, I was in and out in 20 minutes.

So I think I may have asked about this previously but what's the process for an I-94?
My passport is expired. Yes. Fully aware this is not ideal. There is really nothing I can do about it right now due to COVID or else I would go ahead and sort it out.
Now with my GC and 18 month extension both expired, I'm really in need of *some sort of proof or PR*, as my permit expires in March and I'd like to get it renewed so I can use it as ID until GC/naturalisation is done, but I need proof of PR to renew it.

If i get an I-94 and have it stamped, will that be sufficient in this scenario?
