We posted April 29th and had bios done by May 17th and haven't heard anything since. We expected a slowdown during the pandemic yet it has been 15 1/2 months so we need some  kind of info. No request for RFE so we're fine there. Just want to know anything of where we are in the process.

Thank you!  I feel a lot of relief that the worst is over.  Its been over 4 years of dealing with USCIS since K1 stages to now....a girl is tired. lol

My ROC application was received on May 20th 2019.  I was assigned to SRC service center.  There were no RFE's and no interview.  We didn't interview at the AOS stage either.

Sweet.. :)

Has anyone seen any information pertaining to automatic extension of I-751s?  They’re good for 18 months but what happens after that?  Our case was transferred to Potomac and last estimate on approval Date goes out to 20.5 months? I’m starting to doubt that it will be approved before the 18 months runs out. We are at almost 16 months and still waiting and waiting and waiting like everyone else that had their case transferred back in February. So much for case redistribution. I checked VSC and by their timeline our case would already be approved it they would have just left it where it was. Bureaucracy at its finest.

After the extension letter expires (or 10-30 days prior to that) you can call USCIS to try to get an infopass. If they agree to give you one (now during covid it seems like they mainly give infopasses in emergency cases, but a few have been lucky after calling several times and talling to several different USCIS people), you go to the infopass and get a i-551 stamp in your passport. That stamp is the same as a greencard, meaning it proves your legal status in the US.

If you have no plans on travelling abroad or changing jobs, you might not need proof of your status. Most people don't, and the status is still very much intact even when the proof of the status expires.

Hi folks, I am just checking in to see if anyone else has any updates with cases that were being processed at the National Benefits Centre?

We originally filed in May 2019. Case status was at "ready for interview" all last year.

Heard nothing for months and finally started calling in March 2020. The said it was outside of normal processing time and they would raise a query.

Case status updated to reflect our April 2020 call to them and the status date just changed to say "as per 13th April...... ready for interview etc"

I need some positive news at this stage!!!

Thanks and please keep well

You're in line to have an interview. NBC is done with your case (the pre-processing, making the case ready for interview) and is just holding it there until your local field office is ready to schedule you for an interview. So you need to look at the processing times for your field office, NBC has nothing much to do with it anymore. Also know that field offices have been closed for interviews for months and only just recently started interviewing again, the backlog is likely huge. And it seems like field offices have focused on citizenship cases since they opened, not so much other applications.

How do you found out it was transferred to NBC ?  Anyway my timeline is very much identical as yours. I also applied for N-400 and it’s sitting now at NBC. I just reachout out to my congressman in hope of atleast I-751 getting adjudicated. 16+ months are long time for case to be adjudicated.

We were on the phone with USCIS for a separate issue and asked. It's the third time we've asked and they finally told us it had been transferred.

I've considered contacting a representative but not sure what to write. I find the most unusual thing to be that cases from 2018 and earlier sit around while cases from 2020 are being approved. I guess my chief complaint would be the utter lack of equity seeing as how we all pay the same fees. Our case is airtight paperwork wise, we had an interview for AOS and she came here from a K1, and yet is seems we'll have to interview again. I suspect different nationalities are treated differently but I cannot prove it.

Good luck with your case!

I am also a May filer and still here, my NOA was May 30th 2019 and I had the biometrics in June. My case is MSC (I had a CR1 visa so my interview was in France) and ready for an interview since November 19th, 2019... I have no clue when interviews will resume at my local USCIS.
