No, biometrics only means that they need your photo and fingerprints. It doesn't tell you anything about when they will make a decision. You could still wait for a few months or a couple of years, no one knows.

Thanks. Oh well... of course, it'd be too good to be true that USCIS is now approving in light speed.

Hi all! I'm about to send my package either this week or the next - Still finishing up a few touches.

Was wondering if anyone added an "Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people who have known both of you since your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship." ?

It is really up to you.

I asked family and friend members if it is okay if they write affidavits, and I just wrote affidavit based on my interaction with people, but just have them sign with their photo ID scanned with "under the penalty of perjury" so that USCIS knows this affidavit is not just coming from "Copy and Paste", but from actual people who are writing this under the penalty of perjury with the evidence of their photo ID, if they wish to verify whether or not the affidavit is US citizen and go further in case they want to interview.

This way, it doesn't take more than a week, but 2 days (since I already wrote affidavits, all they need to do is their signature and photo ID). If they are uncomfortable, then I go next.

That's pretty much what it's left for me and was wondering how necessary it is if I have everything else that proves the relationship already (this wouldn't be a huge deal, just didn't want to bother our friends with something like this haha)

Good luck everyone!

We did two, but it's definitely optional and secondary evidence.  We just thought it would be nice for my parents to write about some shared travel we had done (of which we included flights/photos with them) as well as visiting us in our shared home.  Just adds to the credibility, but isn't primary evidence for anything.

Good Morning.

According to my calculations, I will be filing sometime toward the end of May for my Husbands renewal.  My first questions is regarding my stepson. He doesn't have any conditions to remove from his visa and it is good for 10 years. Will I have to mention him anywhere on the 751 form or do I just focus on his dad (hubby)?

I read the below article which says it is not required. I am not planning on doing one.

My i751 was recieved by USCIS on May 9-th, and I got NBC receipt straight away, but I live in California. Does it mean there's something wrong with my case, or they are just transferring workload? My case is very straightforward, I've sent a lot of evidence. :/

December 2009 - First met.

February 2010 - Start of our relationship <3
January 7 2016 -Our Wedding in a romantic town of Aeroskobing <3

April 18 2016 - CR1 Package delivered to USCIS Phoenix lock box.

April 22 2016 - Acceptance notification received by email. Case sent to Nebraska Service Center.

May 03 2016 - NOA1 hard copy received.

May 24 2016 - Return to the US to reestablish domicile.

August 3 2016 - Case transferred to Texas Service Center.

I have sent all the photos in a mini photo album format and it got returned because they can't place it in file folder. Can I sent our photos separately directly to the service center?

I was going to be a May filer, but I am trying to time out my submission before we go to Sweden on June 14th - July 2nd.  Package is ready to mail.

From what I can see from others time lines if I send it in now I run the risk of getting a biometric appointment while we are gone, but I would easily get the NOA1 extension letter in time.

If I send it in around June 1st-3rd I could possibly get the letter but we should be pretty safe not to miss our biometric. The problem is I think CPS might hassle us a bit because her GC expires in August on the way in. I think I'd rather deal with that then a missed bio appointment.

What do you guys think? Any advise?

Definitely better to file later than to miss the biometrics.  Missing that ranges from difficult to deal with to denial.  You won't have any trouble entering close to expiration.  When we traveled close to expiration, the CBP agent just reminded us to take care of it.

@MalachiPDXIf you file on June 1 when do you expect to get the biometrics appoint (ie how many weeks after filing)? We are also trying to time it right to not miss biometrics. Or can we file early and postpone the biometrics by a week or two?

@AstroCanada your thoughts please?

We're also based in Portland, thanks!

Edit: Looking at this worksheet, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Id1duRRByZHJmhEzl9N25GqwzcnUyLCR4e4N9W6zGLg/edit#gid=0 it seems that there is usually about 1 month or slightly less between the Recv'd by USCIS date and the Biometrics Appt date. Still curious how long it takes to get a new appointment if we postpone (for an excuse such as illness)

Hello everyone,

I am a little worried since I sent out my I 751 package to USCIS in Texas. The zipcode is 75266, on USPS receipt it is also 75266, but when USPS shows it was delivered (on May 11th 2019 - Saturday) , it is show that it was delivered at zipcode 75260.

I googled the 2 zipcodes and saw that they are both the same place, but I am not sure why it was delivered to a different zipcode?

I attached the G 1145 form to receive text/email notification from USCIS if they receive the package, it is the end of the week now (Friday may 17) but I have not received any notification from them yet. I am not sure if they got my package or not.

Usually how long does it take to get their text/email notification? What should I do if by the end of next week there is till no news from them?

Thank you
