Different informations when filling i140 and ds260 form

I made a mistake while filling in date of start of employment at my current place of work when my I-140 application was filed with uscis. The petition has been approved now and my case sent to NVC. I  would like to put in the correct date of  start of employment in my ds260 form.....can i do that? Won't it cause any problem in the future? How can I rectify this?
