Port of Entry

Hi everyone!

 

In hopes that my husband will be scheduled for his interview soon with the US Consulate in Casablanca, Morocco, I am asking about his port of entry. The flights I have looked at have him coming from Casablanca to JFK then to Raleigh, or Charlotte NC. My question is, who does he give his papers to? Does he have to do it in NY because that's where he will initially land, or does he provide that to the US Security in Raleigh or Charlotte -- where I will be picking him up at? Please advise.

you may not have a packet to submit /  most are doing the packet online for the CBP person to access from computer

POE will be JKF for customs and immigration questions and entry

make sure u have about 3 hour layover in JFK for customs and any flight delay that may happen especially if this is Royal Air Moroc direct (known for delays)

all other flights from there are domestic and no CBP

 

BTW if u choose a different flight that transits thru Paris ,  ur US visa serves instead of  a French transit 

and if u transit in Canada Montreal and Toronto pre clear the customs process for USA

If your husband flies to New York JFK airport, that will be his Port of Entry, regardless of his final destination.

If he is given a sealed envelope, he needs to hand it over to the immigration officer. They will not ask for it, it is your husband's responsibility to hand it over to them.
