2-3 yrs... man, I can't wait that long... I think after 8 months of online dating and video chatting, I might have to call this off... I don't have that kind of patience.

Just out of curiosity, what did you consider a reasonable wait time?

I'm new to this whole thing, so I watch 90 day fiance, and I guess I get false information from that show... but anyways no more than a yr....

If you watch 90 Day Fiance you should have picked up on the fact the Nigerian partners aren't in the US yet and some of them have been on several seasons (someone can correct me if I'm wrong).

May want to focus on finding a significant other in the US then. How did you find her in Nigeria anyways? Or she found you?

Yeah  90 Day Fiance wasn't giving you false information I think, they just don't have the time (and the show would be incredibly boring) if they showed viewers how much waiting was involved. If you search timelines on here from just a few years ago, that 1 year timeline you were expecting was possible, maybe even the norm, but now it's a disaster.

I haven't been there yet... I was asking what to do and in what order... this is so confusing to me

You're not eligible to petition anyone you haven't met.

Also - how could you possibly know you want to marry someone you've never met?

So obviously cr-1 is the way to go... I need more info on this

You need more info on the process in general, and in the particulars for Nigeria.  Nigeria is a very high-fraud country when it comes to US immigration.

You seem so ready to jump into something, but if you travel there and marry on the first visit, the visa will not be approved.

Take a breath, slow down, and start your reading and research.  Nothing is fast about this process, or cheap.  Either option will take YEARS.  Missteps along the way will add time and money to your process.

Yeah, doesn't seem like you're up for the immigration process.  Find someone local.
