I’m currently in the USA, waiting for my green card to come in the mail. I have passport stamp and social security card. I’ve been waiting for 2 months now. My husband and I are slowly getting to the point where we need two paychecks coming in. Is it ok to look for jobs or should I wait for the actual card to arrive?

Thank you and have a great day!

You have been authorised to work since the day you entered into the US on your  spouse visa. The stamped passport is your LPR documentation and is valid for 12 months until your actual GC arrives. Not only can you look for and apply for work .. but you can accept a job offer and get paid !
