Received an RFE today :-(. Was hoping to avoid this to get right to the approval and have no idea what it could be for. I suppose silver lining is that at least they have looked at our case!

I recall some other folks on here getting RFEs for I-693 medicals and then quickly getting their GCs approved without an interview so this may actually be a good sign for you.

Finally received the Green Card in the mail today! Took about 20 days from approval to receiving it in hand. It took a while for it to update to "Card being produced" but once it did, it got here in about 2 days.

Wishing everybody best of luck and hopeful you all will get some good news soon!

Saw a few posts informing of said courtesy mail this weekend. Not sure which office, but seems it was an email sent en masse.

I think this is a new era.. people keep getting emails about medical requests and marital evidences by email. Just to speed up the process

Hope it speeds up at some point. Maybe soon we'll see AI reviewing cases rather than human agents.

Unfortunately we're still too far from that. That email was not even necessary: the people that posted about it freaked out because they sent evidence of the medical with the initial filing.

Oh well.

It’s not same but legit. You should respond immediately. Most likely they waive the interview and approve your green card. That’s what I heard from 2 lawyers

Thanks! I was just going to ask how long it usually took after the approval 😂
