Hi, everyone!

This morning I got a message from USCIS saying there has been action on my case, but when I checked everything was the same as before. I kept checking obsessively and 6 hours after I received that e-mail my i-485 status changed to approved!! 🎉

I'm so happy and relieved. My status has been the same since my biometrics appointment in May. I hope everyone that is still waiting gets to experience the relief I felt today very soon!!

Just came back from Brazil yesterday and going through customs with Advanced Parole was pretty easy. They just sent my wife to the secondary room and waited about 20 minutes, they didn't ask any questions, just stamped her AP when it was her turn and she went on her way.

Also finally received medical RFE, so we sent that out yesterday as well. Today I-130 was approved! Now just waiting for them to receive the medical RFE response and make a decision for I-485.

NOTE: Our local FO is Dallas, but the RFE requested us to send it to the Phoenix FO, so I guess our case is there?

Congratulations! :)  I got the RFE for the medical too, so I should be redoing that & sending it off. Also our local FO should be Dallas too but the RFE requested us to send it to Phoenix, so yeah I think they’re processing the case there.

Let us know if you hear anything back! I'm not sure how long after you send in medical that you get a response nowadays. I've seen anywhere from 24 hours to a few months.

I've been sitting around, jealous of @Carlos.Brazil and their I-485, and shockingly discovered that we were scheduled for interview today. Now I'm going to be furiously pressing refresh on myuscis until the document appears with the interview date. I can't believe we didn't get an RFE.

EAD and AP approved. I’m not sure if it’s normal to issue both right before the green card interview. I hope it’s just a coincidence and not some indication that they anticipate a long approval process after the interview.

Received a new Social Security card  in the mail yesterday (Didn't apply for a new one or anything), but no Green card yet. Just wanted to update regarding the SSN because I know in the past people were recommending to go into the SSN office to get a new card after they receive their green cards, but looks like it they do it automatically now!
