FAQ Update Request

It just came to my attention that the Appendix to the FAQ does NOT have the commonly used term "RFE" defined!

I'm posting this request to see if anyone objects to amending the FAQ this way, and if there are any other abbreviations that should be added or corrected at this time.

Please take a moment to help those who will be coming along behind you, to make their visa journey easier.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=definition

Thank you!

Cap'n Ewok: Please make this update after a comment period. Thank you!

Whoa, here's one:

VWPP Visa Waiver Pilot Program

It's no longer a pilot program, but fully adopted. tThe new abbreviation should be:

VWP: Visa Waiver Program

Delete INS. Or explain that's not what its called anymore.

USC - US citizen.

T6 and/or T7 countries - explain 'em. I'm not even sure what they are.

CBP - Customs and Border Patrol.

DHS - Department of Homeland Security.

US Visit - The new fingerprint system in airports that captures biometrics.

NBC - National Benefits Center in Missouri

NVC - National Visa Center in New Hampshire

I-693 - Civil Surgeons Medical Report. (thats probably not the correct name.

I-693A - the damn supplement that is causing tons of confusion.

DS-3025 - the vaccine worksheet that SHOULD be collected from the docs doing the visa medical.

I-212 and I-601 - waivers of admissability and excludability.

Hmmmmm....still thinking.

T27 countries

And the addition of the 221 g would also be good ideas. And explain that the 221 (g) can be for AR/AP or it can be denial and come back to the states. Needs little more explaination.

I agree Rebeccajo and Meauxna.

DOS - Department of State

Conof - Consular Officer (I know this is covered with CO above and probably not a correct abbreviation but is one that is used extensively in VJ.)

CBP - Customs and Border Patrol.

Is that not Customs and Border Protection?

I would also like to make a suggestion that the link to abbreviations is put somewhere where it is more easily found instead of at the bottom of FAQ. Perhaps up in the top right corner next to the 'Help' link???
