Thank you crazy cat for your response, it won't let me type the part 5 question 1 and type the number on part 5 question 8...so can I just fill it out with a black pen sign scan it and submit it that way

I was able to fill item (or question) 1. The item 2 though is prefilled of 1 already. I used docfly (I pay $7/month). It would let me type directly but I used type option but when I download it to PDF file there was 2 numbers coz the item 2 was prefilled so I removed my entree and downloaded again and it was okey. The Total (item 8?) is prefilled 1 and I don't see it when filling it online until I downloaded it - I don't know they do that...well I filled the total number which is 3, it covered the the number 1. We don't have welcome letter yet so I am in no hurry...but I would suggest too that if you are having hard time filling up items, just leave them blank, print everything and write them with black ink, and when you satisfied after checking zillions times, sign it and scan...put it in PDF form and compress to 2M if the file is more than that.

I have some doubt today if NVC accepts digital signature over wet signature. I was adviced by people who went through this to print, sign wet and scan. Kinda pain in the butt coz I can sign it digitally but I'll do the suggestions of some people over convenience.

You are playing with fire.  What is prefilled on the actual PDF is supposed to be.  USE ADOBE READER.  The forms are designed for that.  It's free.  Don't fight the system.  That's why you're in this pickle to begin with.

Ehhh .. pickle?

I don't understand. I am not the author of this thread. I am using docfly and my phone. Where on NVC says that I need to use adobe reader? I do not have welcome letter yet so I have not done any pickling yet (aka I don't know what to expect just yet) I am just "getting ready". I have this route 7 yrs ago but that time it was sent my mail. But I will look at the Adobe reader (thank you) and see if there is any difference...last time I know, it requires subscription.

Sorry.  OP is in this pickle....  If anybody is having trouble with form, it can be solved with Adobe Reader, or actually properly completing the form.

NVC does not provide instructions for the I-864.  It is a USCIS form.  I'm telling any reader, that from experience, the form functions properly when downloaded, then opened an completed using Adobe Reader or any full version of Acrobat.  Problems tend to arise otherwise.

Sorry accepted even I still do not understand. I seldom comment here.

Yes USCIS form. I do not see such  instructions too. I am a bet tech challenge so I can only try whatever option I understand. And I understand now that you meant well and being helpful. Thanks

This is slightly off topic, but in Part 5 of the I-864 what is the correct answer to “If you are currently married, enter ‘1’ for your spouse” ?

My wife is the principal immigrant named in part 3 and counted in question one part 5.

To keep the household size correct, I should put a zero in this box correct? With an explanation in additional evidence emphasizing that I am married?

Yes enter 0

No additional explanation is needed. Instructions state to not count anyone more than once. Wife has been counted.

It's clear from your screenshots that you did not follow the advice given to you previously.  Like I said before, you must submit a properly filled out and signed I-864, with all pages in 1 file.  Again, upload only 1 pdf file containing all 10 pages of the current edition of I-864 form.  You are not supposed to chop up the I-864 pages into multiple files.
