Expedite petetion if benificiary is a Medical Doctor

Anyone  tried or know if it can be worth to request to expedite petition if the beneficiary is a Medical Doctor, considering there is Covid and shortage of health workers in USA?

That makes no sense as to practice as a doctor in the US one has to go through years of testing and recertification as they don’t just take your medical degree from a foreign country at face value. There’s residency needed in US hospitals.

No unless the beneficiary got the degree as MD in US

Expedition cases are usually entertained if the individual in question is a USC and is facing some sort of hardship.  No one cares about the beneficiary unfortunately. So, no.

Contacted the USCIS and received following answer

"Sadly we would not expedite for that reasoning, as that would not meet our expedite criteria, please review the expedite criteria on our website for further guidance on what meets our criteria"

Thanks for the update. Not surprising. As already mentioned in this thread, even if your spouse was here they would not be able to work immediately until the acquire the appropriate medical licenses and etc. I personally know an immigrant who was a MD in their home country that came here and it took him a year to get the license for him to start practicing in the state he was in.
